Privacy policy

ResinCalc works without an account and collects as little as possible. This is everything that is processed, and why.

Who is responsible

ResinCalc (resincalc.app), an independent personal project. For anything privacy related: ceo@resincalc.app.

What is processed, and what for

Using the calculator requires no account and leaves no personal data. The maths runs in your browser. Data is only processed in these specific cases:

  • Emailing you the recipe. If you enter your address to receive the result, it is used only to send you that email. Legal basis: carrying out what you asked for. It is not stored afterwards.
  • Email updates (optional). Only if you explicitly tick the consent box, your address is stored to send occasional resin tips and tool updates. Legal basis: your consent. The box is never pre-ticked and you can withdraw at any time.
  • Rating the calculator. When you leave a star rating, we store the vote and an irreversible fingerprint of your IP (not the IP itself), purely to prevent duplicate votes. It cannot identify you. Legal basis: legitimate interest in keeping ratings genuine.
  • Usage statistics. Aggregated, anonymous page and performance metrics, with no tracking cookies and no individual profiling.
  • Weather guidance. The temperature and humidity widget queries a weather service from your browser to warn you if conditions are poor for pouring. Nothing is stored.

How long it is kept

The address used to email you a recipe is not kept once sent. If you consented to updates, your address is kept until you withdraw. The rating IP fingerprint expires by itself after 7 days.

Who it is shared with

Only the providers needed to run the service, and only for that:

  • Vercel — site hosting and aggregated analytics.
  • Resend — sending recipe emails and managing the updates list.
  • Upstash — storing the rating aggregate.
  • Open-Meteo — weather data, queried from your browser.

Data is never sold or handed to third parties for advertising.

Affiliate links

ResinCalc is funded through affiliate links. When you click one, the destination shop may set its own cookies under its own policy. Details in the affiliate disclosure.

Your rights

You can request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. Just write to ceo@resincalc.app and it will be handled free of charge.

Unsubscribing from updates: use the unsubscribe link included in every email, or write to that same address. You may also complain to your national data protection authority.

If this policy changes materially, it will be updated on this page. Last updated: July 2026.
