About ResinCalc
A free and accurate epoxy resin calculator made by and for makers.
What ResinCalc is
ResinCalc is a free online calculator that helps you work out the exact amount of epoxy resin you need for any project: river tables, jewelry, floors, coasters, molds and more. We use the real technical data of each product (A:B ratio, density, max depth per layer) so the result is precise, not a generic estimate.
Why it exists
Working with epoxy resin demands precision. A bad estimate means either coming up short (a project ruined halfway) or having way too much (expensive resin wasted). The calculators that existed were generic — they didn't account for the product's real ratio, the layers needed, or the waste. ResinCalc was born to solve that, simply and accurately.
The calculator is 100% free and requires no sign-up. It works on any device, in Spanish and English, and respects your privacy: we don't use advertising tracking cookies.
How it is funded
ResinCalc is sustained through affiliate programs. When we recommend a specific resin (for example Artline Wood PRO for a river table), we include a link to the product. If you buy through that link, we receive a small commission from the manufacturer or store, at no extra cost to you.
This lets us keep the calculator free and free of invasive advertising. Recommendations are based on real technical criteria (depth, project type, volume needed), not on which product pays the most commission. You can read more about how it works on the affiliate disclosure page.
Who is behind it
ResinCalc is currently a personal project in its early stage. It is not a registered company yet: it's a tool built out of genuine interest in the world of epoxy resin and DIY projects.
If you have suggestions, spotted a bug in the calculator or want to collaborate, you can write to ceo@resincalc.app. We reply to every email.
Our editorial process
All of ResinCalc's technical content (guides, troubleshooter and calculator) is written and reviewed by the ResinCalc Editorial Team. These are the principles we work by:
- Verified data, not estimates. Each resin's parameters — A:B ratio, density, maximum depth per layer and working time — come from the manufacturer's technical datasheets, not from generic averages.
- Updates. Every article shows its last review date. We update content when products or technical data change.
- Independence. Resin recommendations are based on technical criteria (pour depth, project type and volume needed), never on which product pays the most commission. You can read how we fund ourselves on the affiliate disclosure page.
- Practical examples. Worked examples are labeled as such and illustrate the method; they are not real customer cases.
What comes next
We're working on expanding what ResinCalc can do:
- A full resin guide with brand comparisons
- A troubleshooter for common issues (yellowing, bubbles, cracking)
- A pigment and colorant calculator
- More languages (Portuguese, French, German)
